October Photo Challenge.

Remember how back in May I did this challenge? I miss it. No, really I do. It actually helped give me that extra push to take pictures, something I am lacking as of late. Plus with the new holidays coming around and all new festive celebrations (I *heart* fall!) I should document at least something, right? Especially with having a toddler, every day is a new adventure photograph waiting to happen. So yes, I’m back on that wagon but I won’t bombard you with the pictures. All of them will be right here, all in one place. If you want to join, here’s the list for Today, October 1st—Have fun!

How to play

1. Look at the list each day, and discover the daily prompt.
2. Grab your camera – your phone or another camera – and take a photo using the daily prompt as inspiration.
3. Upload your photo to where ever you like: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, your blog or anywhere you please. {If sharing on Twitter or Instagram add the hashtag #FMSphotoaday}

Where to share

Once you’ve taken your photos the fun is in sharing them. So you can share them in one place, or a few – it’s up to you. Here’s how share them:

Facebook
There are a few ways you could share on Facebook. You could create an album on your personal page, upload the list and share the photos every day. It’s a fun way to share with your friends. You can also upload to my wall on my Facebook page. Other options are creating a group with your friends, uploading to your own page {if you have one} or joining the October photo a day event.

Twitter
Upload your photo to Twitter and share a bit about it along with the hashtag #FMSphotoaday. Get social and tweet with the other photo a day players.

Instagram
This is my favourite place to share. Take your photo, add a filter, write a little about in the caption and add the hashtag #FMSphotoaday. Best of all, when you publish your photo, you can also publish to your Facebook page, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. So all the work is done for you. I’m @fatmumslim on Instagram.

Flickr
You can share your photos in the Photo A Day Flickr group. Join it here.

Tumblr + Blogs
Upload and share on your Tumblr and Blogs as you please. I’ll upload to my blog in one looooong post at the end of the month.

[30 Day Photo Challenge] Day 6: Childhood Memory.

I want this. I crave this. This is something I want. I barely remember this memory of mine, but that doesn't mean that I don't treasure it. There I am, standing next to my paternal grandfather with my brother on his lap. I want my son to have moments like these and remember them with my own father. I want him to have childhood moments with him just like the ones I have in pictures. I don't remember a lot about my paternal grandfather, which is why I crave them for my son. I want him to have an established relationship with his grandparents. I have very few and vague memories of my paternal grandfather which is why I want Michael to have great ones that are long lasting ones with my own father. I hope he gets them.

[30 Day Photo Challenge] Day 5: Something I Love

Nothing can beat a Pepsi. Well, Coca-Cola perhaps can, but in regards to this post, I need a "cola" in my day to day life. I can't function without one. I don't drink coffee, I seldom will go to Starbucks, and I don't do energy drinks. This is what keeps my body functioning. It's the little jolt I need in order to keep up with my 4 month old. Especially since I'm still not blessed with getting a full night's sleep yet (soon, right?!) So in the mean time I will go to my fridge, grab a can and hope that it's enough to help put that kick in my drive to get along with my day.

Oh! Of course I would have put this little guy for today's challenge, but I don't want him hogging up the blog. He already "owns" every other social site I am on ::wink::

[30 Day Photo Challenge] Day 4: Favorite Color

Can you see my favorite color here? No? Well, it's a little of two--Black and White. I just love that combo, in any shape and form. It just goes with everything, just like the Zebra on Michael's play gym is demonstrating.

[30 Day Photo Challenge] Day 3: Clouds

There is not a cloud in sight. This caused quite the dilemma. What was I supposed to do? Was I going to fail the challenge so early in the game? I was hoping that I wasn't. However, it wasn't until we decided it was Tummy Time (he flipped over!)
that I saw my challenge for the day--clouds on his blanket! It counts! Right?

[30 Day Photo Challenge] Day 2: What I Wore

The weather has been quite pleasant lately. It's especially nice since we are now in August and it's normally excruciatingly hot outside. Since this is the case right now, I decided to go for a walk with both Jambi, our Jack Russell/Yorkie mix, and Michael. It was quite a lovely walk. I even got the courage to jog a bit. Let me tell you, even though I was in jeans, it felt so nice to hit the pavement. Luckily I wore my running shoes and that's what sealed the deal. I must jog again. I don't have a jogging stroller, but that's okay. The nice trail we have right outside our home works perfectly well with our travel system. Plus Michael loved having the wind hit his face. I think I'll make it a routine to go out and jog, that is if the weather keeps cooperating like it has been.

This is what I wore to jog today. LOL

Just so you can see the back of my OTHER Tool shirt (shirt I wore to APC)

[30 Day Photo Challenge] Day 1: Self Portrait

I am the one on the left. This is the most recent portrait I have up to date. My friends and I were in line for a concert (A Perfect Circle) with my husband and brother in law (the girl in the middle's husband.)

These here were taken by me, so yes, a self portrait. Today's "Day 2: What I wore" will be posted later today so things aren't out of order. :)
