My house is full of crap.

Movingpic1We all know that moving sucks. Big time! Packing up everything and hauling it somewhere and then taking everything out of those boxes. It’s not fun at all. However, the only upside to moving (is there one? I think so!) is that you will find all of this crap that you never knew you had. Wait? How is that a good thing? Stay with me. This whole moving situation gives you the chance to get rid of all of that crap. Like now, for me. I never knew how much crap I had!! Seriously! More specifically, I never knew how much crap Michael had. This little guy who can barely haul his little lunch box full of cars has a ton of crap! I’m donating the majority of it (through Freecycle or Good Will) and am “passing down” the others to my sister in law for her baby.

Problem solved? Not quite. There is still that giant pile of  clothing that I cannot get rid of. Like his first pair of Converse. His first pair! I cannot and will not give those away. What about his first pair of Jordan’s? Or his onsies where he looked so cute! Or those “huaraches” that his Abby gave him from her trip to Mexico. What I thought would come about this project of “Give away Crap” turned into my keeping a rather large portion still. But how can I not? He’s my first child. His little clothes remind me of how small and precious he was (and still is.) So my next problem is—Where do I stash this new “smaller” pile of crap, err momentos?!

A little bit of craziness is all I need.

I want to apologize for disappearing from the blog-o-sphere. I don’t quite remember if I mentioned but we were in the midst of moving a while ago. My parents finally got word that the house they had bid on was theirs and that they were getting the keys soon, so everything went from quiet and serene to chaos and crazy. We had to pack up and move two households in a week. It’s hard when it’s a last minute notice and everyone is  working. Not only that, but we also had a birthday party for my nephew in the middle of it.

Here’s a snippet of what the house looked like:

moving

So life has been hectic with trying to unpack everything into it’s new place. Soon we will have a home set up. Which is something I cannot wait to do.

In the meantime, here are some funnies:

Good bye long hair, hello short!

There are waves of changes coming through in our lives. We are moving this week, so that will explain why I’ve been MIA here and there and why I will be, we no longer have a baby but a toddler, I changed my “look” from long hair to a short long A-line bob, and much more. It’s all new and different and we are so excited! Aside from it all being new and different, it’s also a fresh start. I guess that’s why Spring is so important, it’s a fresh start from the drab and dreary. I like it!

So without further adieu, I present to you the “new” me.

It’s been about 7 years since the last time I ever cut my hair from “Keep the length and do all over layers” to something this drastic. I really like it since that means no more tired arms when blow-drying and sweaty necks from the heat. Whatcha think?

Busy bee is busy.

I need to stop and smell the flowers. My mind has been so preoccupied with moving, birthdays, baby showers, baptisms, upcoming Mother’s Day and Father’s day, and so much more.  So much stuff going on.

I’ve been so busy and stressed out these past couple of weeks I think I even made myself sick. I’m feeling better now, thank goodness. I didn’t like that one bit! I’ve been ordered by my loved ones to slow down and just relax, that everything will fall into place. Remember, “It is what it is and you can’t stress yourself out too much. You have a little one to care for.” So right. I really need to start to just relax and realize that some things you can’t change.

Weather is warming up quite nicely these past few days and upcoming days. Maybe I’ll take a break and enjoy that. Perhaps go to the park? The Zoo? Or even just a small picnic or a BBQ. Whatever it is, I need to remember to relax or I’ll make myself sick.

A bit of a scare....

I keep forgetting that moving from one place to another just blows. Tremendously. I have to figure out where everything is going to be placed. I have to fit everything from a two bedroom house and garage into a teeny bedroom. Not fun! However, the upside of this is that at least I won’t be home alone. I’m so glad that we made this move, especially after yesterday. I bled a bit (I know TMI), but it scared the daylights out of me. It was during a bathroom break, and as soon as I was done, I walked over to my bed and took the day off (from organizing the bedroom and closet.) I’m not allowed to do anything today either. This also resulted with a messy room. Now I have to wait until Monday since tomorrow is the last day that I can go to the house and finish up (and do a final clean.)

Like I said, I am so glad that we decided that our best bet was for me to be near my family in case of an emergency. I decided to wait it out and see if I bled some more before deciding to rush to the ER. Luckily it was just a one time spotting thing and we are okay, I hope. I’m going to take things slowly and watch what I do. Hopefully this works.
