This is a typical day in our lives.
I can’t wait for Halloween.
Maybe it's not about the ending, maybe it's about the story.
Since the posts seem to be of “Michael is walking finally!” lately, I thought I’d post a video that my brother, who was seeing it for the first time, recorded. Plus, a video of how my nephew and Michael play—with my mother’s curtains. Ha ha!
Somebody come and play
Somebody come and play today
Somebody come and smile the smiles
And sing the songs
It won't take long
Somebody come and play today
Somebody come and play
Somebody come and play my way
Somebody come and rhyme the rhymes
And laugh the laughs
It won't take time
Somebody come and play today
Somebody come with me and see the pleasure in the wind
Somebody see the time is getting late to begin
Somebody come and play
The above is one of my favorite songs from Sesame Street. Michael loves it too. Lately, we've been singing and playing along with songs. Since he has been somewhat tantrummy, songs like Someone Come and Play help him calm down quickly. I just get near him, sing a little song, and he forgets about whatever tantrum he was going to throw. The song is also the intro to Play With Me Sesame, but that’s more upbeat, mellow seems to work when calming down my little dude. Come and take a listen.
