Thanksgiving + Fab Fridays.

Thanksgiving came and went. My mom and I decided to just be “lazy” about it this year and had the dinner ordered through our local grocery store. However, that backfired. We received our meal but it was all frozen! We still had to cook and add more sides to our menu. The note on the turkey said to heat up for 2 hours prior to eating, which we did but left it in for 3 hours instead. The Turkey was still cold. The mashed potatoes, the gravy, and the stuffing were frozen solid. Blah! The upside, now we won’t be curious as to how a Grocery store dinner would be like. Ha!

The Rules:

1. Copy the HTML code up there ^ and paste the Fab Friday button in a new post.

2. Type out your fab things that happened this week, this last month, today, two minutes ago, just fab things you want to highlight! The purpose is to remember the positive things of your past week (or lately).

3. Come back to this post and link up at the bottom so that others can come see what you have going on.

4. Visit others who've linked up to see what their fab things are!

5. Come back next week and start again! :)

------------------------------------------------

1. Our dear friends Drew and Amanda got married. They are such an awesome couple!

2. Michael has started to take an interest in tumbling. Maybe we can start him on some toddler gymnastics!

3. We have begun planning for our first housewarming party for our new place. It’s an Ugly Sweater Party. This should be fun!

4. I’ve got a little surprise up my sleeve. I won’t reveal it yet. No, I’m not pregnant. Ha!

5. Our Christmas tree will be up this weekend. I can’t wait to see Michael’s face when it’s lit up at night.

30 Day Mom Challenge.

I was invited to join in on a 30 day challenge. Since I joined today, I have to start with number 17. Kind of late in the game right, STORY OF MY LIFE! I tell ya!

[17] Laugh with your child.

Easy right?

How can I not with this guy. In fact, he always makes me laugh. I don’t think there has been a day where we don’t laugh. Whether it’s him teasing me (after I sneeze he makes fun of me) or when I do something (he says, “Aye No!/Oh No!” like “Not again”.) Something is always making us laugh.

30 Day Mom Challenge @ Glorious Imperfection

A love letter to my husband.

My dearest Husband,

Today is a special day. Today we add another milestone to our spiral that we call life—we turn 9 today. Nine years ago I asked you to visit the zoo with me and it was there that you asked me to be your girlfriend, right in from of the jaguars, remember? It was the then the initial start of our lives together.

Last week was our (on the 8th) was our seventh year as a married couple. Sometimes we joke about it and say, “And all we have to show for it is one child.”  Actually, I think we did right in waiting so long to have our child. We were able to embrace ourselves and be selfish for a few years (since our courting years were short.) Many people who hear our story of how we got engaged (on a hot air balloon ride) after only being boyfriend-girlfriend for a year and then married the year after think we were insane yet awesome. I think we were a little of both. It was right for you and I. We were eager to be together—always.

We have had many, many, many ups and downs and with each turn, you have held my hand to calm me down. Life knows that I get crazy when life gets crazy.  We have also had many tests where many people would fail, but we keep pulling through and I am amazed each time.

Regardless of how many unexpected turns life throws at us, I know that we will make it through—holding hands and all.

Pinky Promise,

Your Wife—Analilia <3

Quarterly Top 5

On Wednesdays I like to do some sort of link up, so I thought I would do two. This one I got from Erica over at Mi Todo blog. I fell in love with her blog and I think you should head on over and read it. Her link up is from: Amber @ ClickPrayLove.com | Ashley @ Ramblings & Photos | Sarah @ SarahHalstead.com.

The link-up is about posting your top five favorite pictures of your children since June. This one is going to be a tough one!

4thofJuly2012-2

This picture was taken on the Fourth of July. It’s of my dad, my nephew on his lap, and of Michael. I love this picture so much.

Another Fourth of July photo. He was looking at me and kept saying, “Chez!” (cheese.)
You can see his split lip from when he fell.

BisGranddad2

Another favorite! This one is of my own grandfather. I love this one because this way I have a memory for him of his meeting his Great Grandfather. Something both my husband and I don’t have. (August)

HuntBeach5

This one is of Michael at the beach. His first time. He loved it. We are going back next year. (Sept)

I love this one because it’s a recent on of his face. His face has changed so much. Taken the same day with my grandfather. (August)

Toddle Along Tuesday.

I decided to join in on the fun with Growing Up Geeky. Every Tuesday there’s a link up party for Toddle Along Tuesday and I decided to join in on the fun finally. This weeks theme is “Mommy and Me” and you get to post a bunch of pictures of your baby and you—obviously this sounds like fun, right? Here’s my collage:

I want to see yours too!

Midweek Confessions.

I decided to join Elizabeth over at "E, Myself, and I" and join in on their "Midweek Confessions." It seemed like fun an since I don't quite have a picture for Wordless Wednesday, why not? So here you go :)

  • When it comes to laundry time, I always do a weeks worth of laundry in one day. Problem is, it takes me a whole week to just put that clean pile away.
  • My room, out of the whole entire house, is the messiest. I'll admit, we get up in the mornings and just walk out. The bed is never made and the laundry is all over the place. Swear if I had a tv in there, things would get don. Promise. :)
  • I'm Catholic, therefore I look forward to Ash Wednesday and the whole "No Red Meat" thing. Then come two weeks later and I am dying to stop eating seafood. What gives?"
  • I need to start a daily bath routine with Michael. I always end up putting off for a night time routine (like in the beginning), but it ends up being put off for tomorrow. I should just go back to us both having shower time together. That would be best, but then there went my quick little shower during his naps.
